Objectives of the Competition:

  • To implement a core element of NNPC Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) package.
  • To promote Science education in the country.
  • To encourage in the study of Science and Technology related subjects,
  • To prepare for promotional and qualifying examinations.
  • To build friendship amongst the participating students.
  • To develop competitive spirit.
  • To break down long-held stereotypes and engendering a better of National being in participating students, through the cross-cultural interactions that the contest offers.
  • To provide a platform for enlightening the students and the general on the activities of NNPC.

Competition commences 15th July, .

Participation Scope

4 – stage competition from Preliminary to National Finals:

  • Grassroots level – 774 Local Areas of the country.
  • State level – 36 States plus the Federal Capital Territory.
  • Zonal level – 6 Ceo-political Zones.
  • National level – Grand Finale at NNPG Corporate HQ, Abuja.

Process Integrity

  • Questions would be set by recognized and reputable national/regional examination body
  • Subject experts will be present to resolve any contentious answer.
  • Answers and results will be publicly and progressively recorded from beginning to the end of each stage of the competition.
  • Electronic score boards are to be deployed.

Prize

  • Scholarship to Level
  • One-off Educational Cash Grant

How to Apply for the NNPC National Quiz Competition

Interested schools should visit their respective Local Area and register under the Local Government Education Department to be able to participate in the competition.
