1. The wristwatch was made from gold. (No)

The wristwatch was made of gold. (Yes)

(The preposition used to introduce the material something is made of is “of”. However, “from” may be used if reference is being made to different parts of a material used to make something. For example, “the wristwatch was made from golden metals”.)

2. The bus had an accident in Ibadan en route Lagos. (No)

The bus had an accident in Ibadan en route to Lagos. (Yes)

(“En route” means “on the way”. It attracts either “to” or “from” depending on context. For example, “we had lunch in Oyo en route from Ilorin to Lagos”.)

3. In accordance to the university regulations, you are not entitled to any leave again this year. (No)

In accordance with the university regulations, you are not entitled to any leave again this year. (Yes)

(It is either “according to” or in “accordance with”. For example, “according to the information I have, you are wrong”; “in accordance with our agreement, you will visit us this weekend.”)
