ASAUK 2018 Conference: ENTREPRENEURSHIP EDUCATION IN AFRICA

The ASAUK 2018 conference (11-13 September 2018, University of Birmingham, UK) celebrates the diversity and interdisciplinarity of the study of Africa. To build networks among scholars interested in similar topics or fields, the conference includes several thematic streams.

Africa relies for its future prosperity and development on the education of entrepreneurial graduates and is therefore experiencing a high demand for Entrepreneurship Education (EE) to provide potential entrepreneurs with the motivation, skills and knowledge to start an enterprise. Yet, embedding EE in universities, NGOs and schools is only at an early stage. This stream invites papers highlighting the implementation of EE within local context, especially on but not limited to good case practices – especially in policy – of entrepreneurship education, entrepreneurship educator training as well as entrepreneurial universities.

If you are interested to organize a panel, Pecha Kucha or innovative workshop as part of the stream, or otherwise contribute to the stream please get in touch with us.

The following themes are of interest, including:

  1. African-centric pedagogy / andragogy / heutagogy and assessment methods
  2. Networks of governance
  3. Enterprise Education for youth, women, poverty-alleviation, post-conflict development
  4. Indigenous entrepreneurship and participatory pedagogies
  5. Policy-support
  6. Programme and curriculum best-practice case studies, especially on, but not limited to good case practices, of Enterprise Education, Entrepreneurship educator training as well as entrepreneurial universities.

For panel submissions please follow the instructions on the website  http://www.asauk.net/call-for-papers-and-panels-asauk-2018-now-open/
