Hanna Neumann MSI Research Fellowship at ANU in Australia, 2018

The Australian National University (ANU) is delighted to offer MSI Fellowship and Hanna Neumann MSI Fellowship. Fellowships are for international students to pursue their research-focused career in the field of mathematics, preferably in the research interests that align with one or more of the existing research programs.

The Mathematical Sciences Institute (MSI) aims for research and educational outcomes of the highest quality. The Institute comprises approximately 45 academics and 9 professional staff members.

The Australian National University (ANU) is a national research university located in Canberra, the capital of Australia. Its main campus in Acton encompasses seven teaching and research colleges, in addition to several national academies and institutes.

Fellowship Description: 

  • Applications deadline: November 21, 2017
  • Study Subject: These three fellowships are established for early career academics to pursue their research-focused career in the field of mathematics, preferably in the research interests that align with one or more of the existing research programs.
  • Salary Package: Level B $96,087 – $109,181 p.a. plus 17% superannuation, Level C $115,729 – $128,825 p.a. plus 17% superannuation, Terms: Full-time, Fixed term of four (4) years.
  • Nationality: Open for international students.

Eligibility

Entrance Requirements: The MSI is strongly committed to improving the gender balance amongst staff and students.  It is taking proactive action towards this goal by reserving one of the distinguished fellowships for females only, named the Hanna Neumann MSI Fellow. Female applicants will be considered for all available fellowships.

English Language Requirements: Applicants whose first language is not English are usually required to provide evidence of proficiency in English at the higher level required by the University.
